Ed was born in Chicago, IL in 1923. He went to college at North Western University at age 18.
World War II broke out and he voluntered into the U.S. Navy and became a medic for Amplabior landing in Europe. Later he returned for Reserve Officers Training at Columbia University N.Y., N.Y..
The war ended and Ed was discharged in 1946, then he returned to North Western and there he met Ky and married her a year later and had 4 children to this day.

Ed became the CEO of two chief area Corporations untill 1980 when moving to Marin, and community costs for the Judicial System for seven years.

Later Ed joined the Emeritus College at College of Marin and for several years as the facilitator of a philosophy club. Recently he has become a member of the Rumi Poetry Club and also Friends of Rumi group. He is finding the poems of Rumi to be helping him to a greater appreciation to what it is to be connected to unconditional love.
